Richard Voyles, 美国普渡大学机器人学院创建人及领头人，普渡大学特聘杰出学者，工程技术学院、计算机信息技术学院名誉教授。

他是美国斯坦福大学硕士，美国卡内基梅隆大学博士，机器人学终身教授。曾任职于奥巴马政府白宫科学技术发展政策制定办公室，和弗吉尼亚阿灵顿美国国家科学基金会，现任职于美国国家自然基金委员会，担任机器人和物联网项目审批负责人。

About the speaker:

Richard Voyles, founder and leader of School of Robotics in Purdue University, distinguished scholar of Purdue University, emeritus professor of School of Engineering and Technology and School of Computer and Information Technology.

       He holds a master's degree from Stanford university, a doctor's degree from Carnegie Mellon university, and a tenured professor of robotics.

He has served in the White House’s Office for Science and Technology Policy Development of Obama’s administration and worked in the National Science Foundation in Arlington, Virginia. He currently serves in American National Natural Fund Committee as the project approval director for robotics and the internet of things.
